Consultant Psychiatrist – Flexible Locum Opportunity (Mornington Peninsula)
Key details
Start: Immediate
Period: Versatile - up to three months
Commitment: Minimum 2 days per week
Rate: Attractive
Travel and accommodation: May be considered
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate management plans
Prescribe and monitor treatment, including psychotropic medications
Provide inpatient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (8–10 inpatients)
Participate in care planning, documentation (DMR), discharge processes and weekly MDT meetings
Optional: outpatient or telehealth sessions
Qualifications
Fellowship with RANZCP or equivalent
AHPRA registration and eligibility to work in Australia
Strong clinical judgement, diagnostic and documentation skills
Empathetic, team-oriented, and committed to quality care
