Job Description
Essential Facility Management (EFM) is a subsidiary of one of Melbourne's leading owners corporation groups with over 40 years experience in the Owners Corporation industry. We are looking for a Building Manager to join our growing team and provide high end Building Management services to our clients. The role involves managing the daily tasks required including liaising with committees and residents, implementing maintenance programs, scheduling compliance checks, conducting inspections, report writing, managing service providers, and fostering positive relationships with team members, clients, owners, strata managers and contractors.

Key responsibilities
n
Liaise with committees and residents requests on a daily basis
n
Work closely with Owners Corporation team members who also manage the site
n
Implement and manage the scheduled maintenance program
n
Schedule in and facilitate requirements for building compliance checks and certification
n
Conduct periodic inspections of common areas, facilities, plant and equipment
n
Undertake report writing and populate management software with activities undertaken
n
Provide recommendations to the committee regarding ongoing maintenance of the complex
n
Oversee all contractors undertaking works at the complex
n
Actively encourage opportunities to bring together residents to create a community
n

Solid computer and administrative skills
n
An understanding or willingness to learn the technical aspects of building management
n
Able to seek better ways to do things and thrive in a challenge-stress environment
n
Proven ability to manage providers to ensure optimum outcomes
n
Ability to work autonomously
n
Ability to work as part of a team
n
Must be able to show evidence of positive contributions to sites previously managed
n
All equipment required to undertake the role
n
Attendance to internal Building Management training and discussions
n
Opportunities to attend external Building Management training events
n
Support from internal Building Management team
n
Support if further qualifications relevant to the position are undertaken
