Work with a paediatric caseload in a hybrid role (clinic and community)

Specialist caseload supporting children who have engaged in HSB or are victims of SA

They are seeking a dedicated, adaptable and introspective mental health Occupational therapist supporting children in the Rockhampton community.

Supportive and approachable operational management team

Your Role:
n
n
Maintain a client case load of ***** paediatric clients (per week), identifying and working toward client goals to achieve successful case outcomes for clients.
n
Provide trauma informed, developmentally sensitive and culturally secure counselling and support to children and young people who have experienced SA or have been involved in HSB.
n
Encourage and strengthening supportive relationships with adult caregivers
n
Enhance psychosocial outcomes for children and young people impacted by trauma
n
n
How you will be supported:
n
Access a minimum of $**** PD allowance per year for further training.
n
Receive specialised trauma informed care training & learn to work with the Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy model.
n
With a very supportive operational management team providing ad hoc support, you will undertake a structured 6 week onboarding process with a gradual increase of caseload, and access to the Employee Assistance Program for counselling support, you will be set up for success in your role!

Requirements:
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
n
At least two (2) years' experience working with children, young people and their families in similar roles
n
Highly developed knowledge of child protection issues and the child protection sector in Queensland
n
AHPRA registration
n
Unrestricted working rights in Australia
n
Drivers licence and own vehicle
n
n
