Job Description
As a Fire Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced members of our team while completing the training required to become a qualified Fire Technician. You'll gain practical, hands-on experience across a broad range of fire protection systems and equipment.

Key responsibilities

Work with fire extinguishers and fire blankets
n
Work with fire detection and alarm systems
n
Work with Fire Indicator Panels (FIPs)
n
Work with emergency and exit lighting
n
Work with fire doors and other passive fire equipment
n
Work with fire sprinkler and hydrant systems
n
Routine inspection, testing and maintenance
n
Fault finding and repairs
n
Fire compliance and Australian Standards, including AS ****
n
Service reporting and documentation
n

About you
n

Genuinely interested in building a career in the fire protection industry
n
Reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
n
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
n
Takes pride in doing a job properly
n
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
n
Communicates professionally with customers and colleagues
n




Current Australian driver's licence, or working towards obtaining one
n
Willing to undertake the required study and training to become qualified
n
Structured on-the-job training and mentoring
n

Formal training towards becoming a qualified Fire Technician
