Senior Quantity Surveyor
n Location: Suffolk

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major highways maintenance and infrastructure programme. You'll play a key role in the commercial management of projects, ensuring strong financial control and successful delivery across a busy portfolio of works.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead pre-contract activities including forecasting, measurement, subcontract tendering, and procurement
n
Manage project commercials: valuations, applications, cost control, and change management
n
Oversee subcontractor packages and support operational delivery teams
n
Prepare, submit, and agree Final Accounts
n
Produce accurate project forecasts and contribute to monthly reporting cycles
n
Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
n
Drive cashflow through effective valuation and invoicing processes
n




Support and mentor junior commercial staff and site teams
n
Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and internal procedures
n

Requirements
n
n
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
n
Proven experience operating at Senior QS level within construction or civil engineering
n
Solid background in highways or infrastructure projects
n
Solid working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts (Option A preferred)
n
Experience with Highways Method of Measurement / Schedule of Rates
n
Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
n
n
Salary: £450 – £500/day
n
