What You Will Do
n
n
Teach – You'll deliver clear, structured VCE English Language lessons (mainstream, Language, or Literature) that build conceptual understanding and essay technique.
n
Coach – Motivate students to engage with content, practice deliberately, and improve week-to-week.
n
Mentor – Share study strategies and relatable stories to build student confidence.
n
Connect – Build genuine connections with students. You're relatable, making it easy to relate and inspire.
n

What You Will Bring
n
n
99+ ATAR and 45+ raw study score in VCE English Language (non-negotiable)
n
First-year university level knowledge or above in English, Arts, or related Humanities
n
Tutoring experience in VCE English Language (favourable)
n
Academic Awards in English Language (favourable)
n
Past VCE Graduate (students learn best from those who once were in their shoes!)
n
Robust communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts
n
Energy, empathy, independence, and a proactive mindset
n
Honesty, Integrity, and a genuine Passion for Teaching
n
A full academic year commitment (e.g. no overseas exchange trips for 8 weeks)
n




Ability to commit to weekly classes with minimum 10+ hours availability per week (e.g. can't constantly reschedule or miss classes)
n
Travel to our Campuses (Glen Waverley)
n
Alignment with Contour's mission, (non-compete agreement required)

A genuine desire to motivate students (e.g. your primary goal is to help students achieve their potential, like us!)
