Due to the current expansion of our business, we are in need of a highly experienced formwork carpenter whose main responsibility would be as follows:
n
n
Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand and all material and construction requirements
n
Determine all materials needed for each job
n
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
n
Cut and shape building materials according to measurements
n
Measure, cut and assemble wooden and metal forms for pouring concrete
n
Inspect completed formwork to ensure conformance to specifications
n
Enable the stability of structures through the installation of shoring
n




Disassemble formwork after use in a way that allows for its reuse.
n
Follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean workplace
n
n
The successful candidates will have:
n
n
At least 2 years previous experience as a formwork carpenter in off site precast fabrication
n
Certificate III in Carpentry
n
Must have a Construction Induction Card (White Card)
n
Carpentry work experience in building and construction is desirable.
n
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
n
Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
n
Truck license, civil experience with machinery tickets will be an advantage
n
