An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an experienced Science educator to join Victory Lutheran College asLearning Leader: Science.
n
Working alongside the Director of Learning and Secondary Leadership Team, you will lead curriculum development, support teacher growth and foster a culture of continuous improvement across Years 7-12, while maintaining an active role in the classroom.

POSITION DETAILS

Ongoing teaching position with a fixed-term Position of Responsibility.
n
Science Learning Area leadership across Years 7-12.
n
Category C Level 2 Position of Responsibility.
n
Six lessons release per fortnight for leadership responsibilities.
n
n
ABOUT THE ROLE
n
The Learning Leader: Science provides leadership and oversight of curriculum, assessment and teaching practice across Years 7-12. The role plays a key part in ensuring students experience engaging, challenging and high-quality Science learning opportunities that inspire curiosity and build pathways for future success.
n
You will:
n
n
Lead curriculum design, implementation and review across the Science Learning Area.
n
Support and mentor Science teachers to continually strengthen teaching practice.
n
Drive assessment consistency, moderation and quality assurance processes.
n
Analyse student achievement data to inform improvement priorities.
n
Lead Science Week, STEM initiatives and enrichment opportunities.
n
Support and oversee laboratory operations, resources and practical learning experiences.
n
Promote innovation, inquiry and evidence-informed teaching practices.
n
Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the Secondary School.
n
n

Appropriate qualifications andcurrent VIT registration(or the ability to obtain it) are required.
