We are looking for an experienced Contract Administrator / Estimator to join our team and support the administration and estimating of projects from tender through to completion.

The Opportunity
n
This role combines contract administration and estimating, making it suitable for someone who understands both the commercial and practical sides of construction.
n
You will work closely with the Directors, Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to assist with pricing, procurement, project documentation and cost control across multiple projects.
n
The role will suit someone who is organised, commercially minded and comfortable taking ownership of their work.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assisting with procurement and subcontractor engagement
n
Preparing purchase orders, subcontractor documentation and project correspondence
n
Monitoring project costs against budgets
n
Processing and reviewing variations and supporting documentation
n
Assisting with progress claims, invoices and payment schedules
n
Maintaining project records and contract documentation
n




Communicating with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients where required
n
Assisting Project Managers and Site Managers with commercial and administrative matters
n
Maintaining accurate project information across company systems
n
Identifying opportunities to improve estimating, procurement and administration processes
n
Preparing and reviewing construction estimates and quotations
n
Reviewing architectural, structural and consultant documentation
n
Preparing take-offs, scope of works and trade packages
n
Obtaining and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotations
n
Assisting with tender preparation and submissions
n
Identifying scope gaps, discrepancies and potential cost issues
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Previous experience in estimating, contract administration or a similar construction role
n
Experience within the residential or commercial construction industry
n
Good understanding of construction processes, materials and trades
n
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
n
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
n
Good understanding of subcontractor quotations and scopes
n
Strong organisational and time management skills
n
Confident communication with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
n
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
n
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
n
Experience with construction or project management software is highly regarded
n
