About the role:

We are in search of an enthusiastic News
Producer/Journalist
to energise the team, delivering excellent community news. Your self-motivation, communication finesse, and ability to foster team trust are essential for achieving impactful outcomes.
n
Based in Wollongong, this role will see you will lead, innovate and shape impactful stories. You are responsible for the production and presentation of high-quality news updates & bulletins. This position will also ensure that the editorial fulfills all legal requirements in its news procedures, editorial guidelines and operations. This is a full time position, working Monday - Friday.

About you:To be the successful candidate, you will have:
n
n
A tertiary qualification with a journalism background and an understanding of the importance of compiling impactful bulletins.
n
Sound working knowledge of daily process in a television newsroom.
n
Experience developing a solid editorial strategy, and managing a culture whereby the drive to succeed and lead the market exists.
n
Demonstrated superior communication and relationship building skills, as well as a thorough understanding of Media Law.
n
Accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
n
Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
n
Ability to operate in a team environment, contributing positively to the operations and working relationships.
n
Ability to contribute ideas and demonstration initiative and flexibility.
n
Demonstrated positive work ethic and the ability and willingness to learn new systems.




n
Demonstrated ability to take steps to solve a problem.
n
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
n
Must hold the right to work in Australia.
