Community Corrections is responsible for the supervision of adults who have been sentenced to a community-based order by the courts or released to parole by Parole Board Queensland. Community Corrections has a strong commitment to keeping communities safe, and reducing the risk of re-offending by facilitating positive behavioural change in supervised individuals to enable them to lead more productive crime-free lives. In this role, you will contribute to the effective operation of the district office by providing administration support.

Communication skills as demonstrated through the ability to listen, understand and speak clearly to a wide range of audiences. Written skills with the ability to summarise information and data
n
Proven administrative skills including financial processing and database management
n
Ability to apply and understand departmental policies and procedures
n
Ability to use judgment and discretion with confidential information
n
Planning & Organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures
n
Ability to acquire knowledge of relevant acts and regulations
n
Decision making and reasoning involve gathering information, evaluating a variety of solutions, and selecting the best option, working ethically, working under pressure and demonstrating resilience
n
Teamwork skills with the ability to work without supervision and as part of the broader team. In addition, demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to team results.
n
Information technology skills at a competent level with the willingness to learn new IT skills and use internal information management databases as well as Microsoft Office software
n
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing solid customer service.
n
