fgf Developments is a leading Cairns-based civil contracting company delivering civil construction, transport infrastructure, subdivisions, asphalt and bitumen sealing, waste management and quarrying services throughout Far North Queensland.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Site Engineer to join our high-performing project delivery team.
n

About the Role:
n
As a Site Engineer, you will support the successful delivery of civil construction projects by assisting with onsite coordination, technical problem-solving, quality assurance and project administration activities.
n
Working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and operational teams, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Assisting with the coordination of daily site activities, logistics and subcontractors.
n
Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
n
Providing engineering support and resolving onsite technical issues.
n
Monitoring construction quality and compliance with project requirements.
n
Maintaining site records, progress reporting and project documentation.
n
Assisting with project planning, scheduling and procurement activities.
n
Supporting cost control, quantity tracking and project performance reporting.
n
Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and stakeholders.
n
Assisting with subcontractor administration and progress claim verification.
n
Contributing to the preparation of client progress claims and supporting documentation.
n
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance and quality outcomes.
n

What We're Looking For:
n
n
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Associate Diploma in Engineering.
n
1 to 5 years' experience within civil construction or infrastructure projects.
n
Strong understanding of civil construction methods, specifications and drawings.
n
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
n
Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
n
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
n
The ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
n
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
