Work Type: Fixed term (external applicants) / Temporary Assignment (internal DJSIR employees) / Secondment (VPS employees external to DJSIR) (until 14 May ****)

Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)

Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)

Deliver and take the lead in a range of activities associated with the on-going development, monitoring and reporting of DJSIR's budget and financial performance in accordance with agreed outcomes
n
Demonstrate advanced analysis and financial expertise to advise/explain complex concepts, ideas and issues to facilitate strategic decision making
n
Work collaboratively, utilising a strong working knowledge of DTF's SRIMS and departmental systems, with portfolio agencies and DTF to ensure that budget and reporting activities meet quality and timeliness requirements

The Team
n
The position of Senior Finance Business Partner forms a part of the Finance, Investment & Procurement branch within the Corporate Services group.
n
n
Conceptual and analytical ability: Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably; Uses analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems; Has creative ideas and can project how these can link to innovations
n
Stakeholder Management: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships; Identifies and responds to stakeholder's underlying needs; Uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved; Finds innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues
n
Financial skills: Excellent financial skills and demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial analysis. This includes the ability to clearly articulate the financial implications of policy decisions and/or other transactions and the provision of advice to senior management on budget and financial management issues to facilitate strategic decision making
n
Specialist qualification: finance or accounting degree and/or professional qualification such as CA or CPA is highly desirable.
