Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Community Strengthening Coordinator to join a local government community services team. This is a highly customer-facing role, providing day-to-day coordination of a busy community centre and supporting the delivery of engaging programs, events and activities that build community connection, participation and wellbeing.

You'll have the prospect to build strong relationships with community members, service providers and internal stakeholders while leading a small team and contributing to the ongoing development of community programs.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and support staff, coordinating day-to-day activities and fostering a positive team environment.
n
Develop and deliver community development programs, events and activities that respond to local needs.
n
Build strong partnerships with community groups, service providers, government agencies and internal teams.
n
Engage with the community, including hard-to-reach groups, to identify needs and strengthen participation and social connection.
n
Monitor budgets,



KPIs and program outcomes and contribute to reporting for Council and funding organisations.
n

About You
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences or a related field.
n
Demonstrated experience in community development, community engagement and program delivery.
n
Previous staff management or team leadership experience, with the ability to support and motivate others.
n
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging with a diverse community.
n
Experience with budget management, reporting, project/event management and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
n
