Workzone Pty Ltd offers permanent, full-time Vegetation Field Worker positions in Newcastle and the Hunter region. This role focuses on mechanical slashing, herbicide application, mowing and around rail stations.

Key responsibilities
n
Mechanical Slashing: Operating heavy-duty brush cutters, commercial mowers, and slashing equipment.
n
Herbicide Application: Handling, mixing, and spraying chemicals safely along fence lines and rail borders to halt invasive weed growth.
n
Debris Removal: Clearing fallen branches, green waste, and obstacles from station precincts and track perimeters.
n
About you
n
White Card (General Construction Induction): Mandatory for entering any active asset or infrastructure maintenance site.
n
ChemCert (AQF3 Chemical Accreditation):



Required by law to handle and apply commercial-grade weed sprays and herbicides safely. Workzone can provide training.
n
Manual Driver's Licence: Essential to legally drive the supplied company utility vehicle across different sites.
n
TLIF**** (Safely Work in the Rail Corridor) – Workzone can provide training.
n
Stable Employment: Permanent, full-time hours providing predictable income and long-term career stability.

Provided Work Vehicle: A company vehicle is supplied, meaning zero out-of-pocket costs for fuel, maintenance, or traveling between job sites.
