The Opportunity
n
Hitachi is seeking a motivated and safety-focused individual to join our Newcastle Service team as a Field Service Fitter based out of our Beresfield branch.
n
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing diagnostics, repair and maintenance services to our customer's equipment both in the field and workshop environments.
n
This role is perfect for someone focused on quality service, proactive problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service outcomes.
n
You Will Also Be Responsible For
n
n
Diagnose, service and repair Hitachi construction and earthmoving equipment in the field
n
Building and maintaining strong relationships with our customer base
n
Complete and submit service reports and documentation in a timely manner
n
Ensure all work is completed in line with Hitachi's safety and quality standards
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
A relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification (Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered)
n
Current driver's license
n
Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues
n
OEM or earthmoving equipment experience is highly regarded
n
High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, Dogging, Working at Heights, etc.) highly regarded,



but not essential
n
