The Prospect

Based in South Melbourne, this is a 6-month fixed-term contract engagement for a Management Accountant who excels in environments undergoing rapid transformation. Dual-reporting to the ERP Lead with a dotted line to the Head of FP&A;, this role is centered on building a reliable, enterprise-grade reporting environment designed to support faster commercial analysis and elevated decision-making. You will act as a key driver of systems evolution, operating in a space where reporting logic is actively being refined and consolidated. This engagement is ideal for a forward-thinking finance professional who takes genuine satisfaction in creating order out of complexity, standardising datasets, and establishing robust reporting foundations that streamline team workflows and accelerate forecast cycles.

What You'll Do
n
As a Management Accountant,
you will play a pivotal role in establishing an enterprise-grade reporting architecture to support rapid growth and high-velocity commercial decision-making. You will:
n

Map and consolidate 60+ P&Ls; into unified, standardized consolidated P&L; structures, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow models.
n
Map and align budget, forecast, and ISP data into newly established reporting frameworks.
n
Support EPM reporting design and manage the structured loading of future Budgets and Forecasts.
n
Develop tailored Power BI dashboards and construct robust SQL-enabled datasets to unlock actionable insights.
n
Simplify and clean the current Report Writer suite by purging duplicate or unreliable reports and standardising underlying business logic.
n
Drive tangible outcomes, including improved report output speed, enhanced consistency, and significantly faster close and forecast analysis.

What You'll Bring

This role requires an agile, technically astute finance professional who can assess a complex landscape, navigate system implementations, and add immediate value. To be successful, you will have:

Qualifications & Foundation: CA/CPA qualification with strong experience across management accounting, reporting consolidations, and financial modelling.
n
Systems & ERP Expertise: Preferred hands-on experience with Oracle or strong involvement in complex enterprise ERP / EPM system implementations.
n
Advanced Data & BI Skills: Proficiency with Power BI dashboard creation and SQL-enabled dataset development to standardise reporting logic.
n
A Solution-Oriented Mindset: Proven ability to create order out of complexity, streamline legacy Report Writer suites, and establish reliable processes.
n
Interpersonal Impact: Strong collaboration skills to engage effectively with the ERP Lead, Head of FP&A;, and broader stakeholders.
