About The Health Centre
n
Home to the Department of Defence Headquarters, Airforce Headquarters and Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) which is a tri-service military academy. The Health Centre opened mid-**** and is a large facility. It services approximately **** military personnel, including trainee officers from both ADFA and Royal Military College. There is a 24-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Defence Force Recruitment for medical officers is in addition to health centre roles.

This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift)
within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
n
What You'll Do
n
n
Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients.
n
Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards.
n
Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information.
n
Prepare reports, update health and personnel management systems, and assist with auditing activities to support operational and compliance requirements.
n
Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests.

What You Bring
n
n
Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role. (Medical setting highly desirable)
n
Completion of a medical terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete
n
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
Sound computer literacy and experience with electronic health record systems highly regarded.
n
