Day to day responsibilities
n
n
Assisting Senior /Account Managers in client interactions, gaining hands‐on experience while gaining an understanding of the insurance industry.
n
Be answering the phone and helping with enquiries
n
Assisting clients where possible, diverting to the relevant member of the team or taking a message where appropriate.
n
Actioning of debtors
n
Performing data entry relating to clients and their insurance policies
n
Claims lodgement, follow up, and assisting during the process
n
Data entry of new business policies, renewals, endorsements and certificates of currency
n
Ad hoc tasks as required
n
n
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
n
n
Willingness to learn and understanding of basic insurance principles.
n
Intuitive decision making - rational decision making, using analytics, facts and step‐by‐step logic to come to a decision.
n
Initiative and Self‐Motivation - willingness to show initiative and organise self to work autonomously.
n
Technologically literate - in particular, strong Microsoft Office experiences, specifically Excel and Word. Strong understanding of insurance software (e.g. Sunrise) is preferable.
n
Mathematics and basic Accounting - Competent with numbers and understanding of financial principles and how they apply to insurance. E.g. GST, Stamp Duty etc.
n
Troubleshooting - Find solutions to problems as they arise.
n
Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
