Apex Support Services is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team and support participants across South West Sydney and Western Sydney. This casual role involves providing personalised care and support to participants with a range of disabilities, helping them live independently and engage with their local community.

Key responsibilities
n
Assisting participants with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
n
Accompanying participants to appointments, social activities, and community events.
n
Providing support during overnight, sleepover, and pickup shifts throughout the day.
n
Providing emotional support and encouragement to help participants achieve their goals.
n
Documenting participants' progress and updating care plans as required.
n
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
n
About you
n
Valid work visa required for employment.
n




NDIS Worker Screening Check, which must be obtained before commencing employment.
n
Working With Children Check.
n
First Aid and CPR certification.
n
Completion of relevant NDIS training modules.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with participants and their families.
n
A patient, empathetic, and person-centred approach to care.
n
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
n
A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
n
