Kamals Travel & Tours Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Travel Consultant to join our growing travel agency in Footscray, Melbourne.
n
This is a part-time, in office position with the possibility of additional hours as the business grows. The successful applicant will support international and domestic reservations, ticketing, customer service, quotations and travel sales.
n
Key responsibilities:
n
n
Search, price and book domestic and international flights
n
Create and manage PNRs using Travelport Galileo/Smartpoint
n
Issue tickets and monitor ticketing deadlines
n
Explain fares, baggage allowances and ticket conditions
n
Manage ticket changes, reissues, refunds and schedule changes
n
Prepare professional quotations and itineraries
n
Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and WhatsApp
n
Follow up quotations and convert enquiries into bookings
n
Assist with group travel and Umrah bookings
n
Maintain accurate passenger, booking and payment records
n
Help develop safe and accurate booking procedures
n
n
Required experience and skills:
n
n
Previous experience as a travel consultant or reservations agent
n
Strong practical knowledge of Travelport Galileo/Smartpoint
n
International fares and ticketing experience
n
Understanding of BSP and airline ticketing procedures
n
Experience processing reissues, exchanges and refunds
n
Excellent English communication and customer-service skills
n
Strong attention to passenger names, dates and ticketing deadlines
n
Ability to work from our Footscray office
n
Honest, reliable and able to protect confidential customer information
n
n
Experience with African and Middle Eastern destinations, Umrah travel or relevant community languages would be an advantage.
n
Pay: $35-$45 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience.
n

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a practical
Travelport/Smartpoint
skills assessment. The successful applicant will commence with a three-month probation period.
