Job Description
Dysart Hospital in Queensland is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its Emergency Department on a contract basis. This is a five-week placement running from 31 August to 4 October ****, offering the chance to work in a rural nursing environment where clinical skills and leadership are highly valued. The role is graded RN Grade 5, with a salary range of AUD$***** to AUD$***** per hour, and involves rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts with a maximum of 80 hours per fortnight.

Lead and manage the Emergency Department, potentially as the sole RN on shift

AUD$***** to AUD$***** per hour, with overtime available beyond 80 hours per fortnight

Five-week contract with two placement opportunities, rotating shifts in a rural healthcare setting

Preferred Requirements
n
n
Demonstrated rural nursing and emergency department experience
n
Competence in triage and resuscitation protocols
n
Ability to team lead and manage ward operations, including solo shift management
n
Proficiency with QLD ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, and HBCIS systems
n
Own vehicle highly recommended due to the remote location of the facility
n

Preferred Qualifications

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
Previous experience with Queensland Health or Mackay Health and Hospital Service
n
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or equivalent emergency nursing qualification
