Hands on Test Lead - ERP Digital Transformation (Greenfield), financial modules - Based in the South Eastern Suburbs

We are seeking a highly experienced, pragmatic Test Lead to join a digital transformation program: an ERP implementation with financial modules, for a 12 months fixed term assignment.
n
You will own the end-to-end testing lifecycle, ensuring the configured solution, complex data migrations, and system integrations are robust, fit-for-purpose, and ready for a successful go-live.

This is a critical role that blends high-level strategy with active delivery. We are looking for someone who can lead a testing function while remaining comfortable with the "hands-on" reality of a complex implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning: Develop, own, and maintain the program test strategy, master test plan, and stage-based test approaches (covering functional, integration, data migration, and UAT).

Leadership & Vendor Management: Oversee testing activities delivered by external vendors, ensuring their regression and system testing aligns with our quality standards.

Hands-on Delivery: Maintain a strong pulse on the technical work with hands-on testing involvement, including script development, execution, and troubleshooting.

Tooling: Take the lead in selecting, configuring, and administering our test management and defect tracking tooling.
n
UAT Coordination: Lead and facilitate user acceptance testing, bridging the gap between finance subject matter experts and technical teams to ensure seamless business adoption.

Data & Integration:



Partner with data and technical teams to validate integration points across the application landscape and ensure rigorous reconciliation of financial datasets.

Reporting & Governance: Provide evidence-based reporting on test readiness, defect trends, and residual risk to support critical phase-gate and go/no-go decisions.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly experienced test lead who is an expert in the testing lifecycle, with specific experience navigating the complexities of finance-focused ERP implementations.

ERP Expertise: Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end testing for complex, large-scale ERP or finance system implementations. You understand the nuances of financial modules (General Ledger, AP/AR, Assets, etc.).

Strategic & Operational: You are comfortable working at the strategic level (master planning, policy, risk) while remaining deeply involved in the operational testing execution.
n
Communication: You can effectively translate technical/testing requirements into plain English for business stakeholders, finance experts, and executive leadership.
n
Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of test management, defect tracking, setting setup, and test data management.
n
Certification/Education:
Tertiary qualification in Business, IT, or a related field, supported by a recognised software testing certification (e.g., ISTQB).
