Front End Loader / Excavator Operators – Full-Time Positions

SoilWorx is looking for experienced and reliable Front End Loader / Excavator Operators to join our growing operations team, with full time positions available across our Western and South East locations.
n

Locations: Western Suburbs & South East Melbourne
n Employment: Full-Time Positions Available
n Hours: Shifts falling between 5:00am–7:00pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday work available
n
About the Role
n
You'll be responsible for safely operating front-end loaders and excavators across our busy soil and materials facilities.
n
Your day-to-day work will include loading trucks, managing stockpiles, feeding screening and processing equipment, moving materials throughout the yard, and helping ensure our operations run safely and efficiently.
n
We have full-time positions available, offering consistent hours and the opportunity to build a long-term career with an established Victorian business.

Your Responsibilities
n
n
Safely operating front-end loaders and excavators
n
Loading trucks and trailers accurately and efficiently
n
Feeding, screening, and processing equipment
n
Handling, stockpiling, and moving materials throughout the yard
n
Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting defects or maintenance requirements promptly
n




General yard duties and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
n
Following all SoilWorx safety and environmental procedures
n
Working closely with drivers, yard staff, and management to keep daily operations running smoothly
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
Previous experience operating front-end loaders and/or excavators
n
Experience loading trucks and trailers
n
Relevant machinery tickets and competencies
n
Construction Industry White Card
n
Flexibility to work shifts falling between 5:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday
n
Saturday availability when required
n
Strong understanding of workplace safety
n
Good spatial awareness when working around trucks, heavy machinery and pedestrians
n
Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team
n
A strong work ethic and pride in the equipment you operate and the work you produce
n
Experience within the soil, quarry, recycling, landscaping, civil construction, earthmoving, or bulk materials industries will be highly regarded.
