Best Hooper Lawyers is seeking a motivated Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our Planning Team on a full-time, permanent basis.
n
This role will support our planning and workplace lawyers across document preparation, matter management, client communication, and VCAT/court-related work.
n
About the Role
n
Working closely with our solicitors, you will support a range of Victorian planning matters, with a strong focus on VCAT proceedings.
n
Preparing legal documents, correspondence, affidavits and submissions
n
Managing and organising matter files
n
Liaising with clients, councils,



government agencies and statutory authorities
n
Supporting lawyers with hearings, mediations, VCAT and court proceedings, including:
n

VCAT Applications
n
Tribunal books
n
Expert correspondence
n
n
Providing general administrative to the Planning Team
n
Skills & Experience
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
Previous legal or administrative experience, ideally in planning, property or environmental law
n
Strong organisational skills
n
High attention to detail and accuracy
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Ability to manage competing deadlines
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
n
Experience with VCAT, court proceedings, councils or government agencies is highly regarded.
n
This role is suited to candidates with legal or administrative experience. We are not seeking applicants who are currently studying law.
