Position: Chef
Singh Curry House is a well-established and highly rated Indian restaurant located in Kallangur QLD.
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis.
As a Chef at Singh Curry House, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious Indian dishes, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
You will work closely with our kitchen team to develop new menu items and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to our recipes and standards
Ensure all food is cooked and presented to the highest quality and in a timely manner
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering and restocking supplies as needed
Train and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following proper cleaning and sanitization procedures
Managing stock inventory and ordering raw materials of high quality.




Ensuring that the food is stored in temperature-controlled facilities.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations
Costing menu items including costing of food and labour costs.
Work to resolve kitchen issues, listen to feedback and seek solutions in conjunction with fellow staff.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management is required.
Solid knowledge and experience in Indian cuisine
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary Package
$73,500 - $76,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
