The IT Leadis responsible forthe day-to-day management, maintenance and security of AIM Defence's ITsystems,networksandcloud services.This is a hands‐on role requiring strong technical capability across Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, cybersecurityand end‐user support.
Workingclosely with the Co-CEO tomanage ITprioritiesandallocatetasksto the IT team, the key responsibilities cover:
Microsoft O365 and Azure:
Act as the senior escalation point for technical support matters.
Administeror manage delegation tosupport Microsoft 365 services.
Support collaboration platforms and productivity tools.
Maintain documentation and system configurations.
Administer andmaintainAzure cloud services.
Manageidentity,authenticationandaccess management.
Configure andmaintainAzure security controls.
Monitor cloudresources,performanceandavailability.
Support backup,recoveryand disaster recovery solutions.
Maintain and supportNetworking Infrastructure:
Perform network monitoring and troubleshooting.
Manage hardware refreshes and infrastructure upgrades.
Ensure ITsystemsremainreliableand secure.
Cyber Security & Compliance




Maintain compliance with the Essential Eight framework.
Manage endpoint protection, patching and vulnerability remediation.
Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents.
Support DISP and Defence security requirements.
Manageandmaintainsecuritypolicies and technical controls.
Technical Support
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support.
Resolve complexinfrastructure,networkingandMicrosoft 365 issues.
Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
Assiststaff withhardware,softwareandconnectivity issues.
Manage relationships with IT suppliers and service providers.
Oversee hardware procurement and software licensing.
MaintainaccurateIT asset registers.
Coordinatewarranty,maintenanceandsupport agreements.
Whatyou'llbring
Minimum5+years' experience IT infrastructure,systemsadministrationornetwork management.
Previousexperience leading or supervising technical staff.
Experience managing Intune and endpoint security solutions.
Strong networking knowledge including switching,routing,wirelessandfirewalls.
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience implementingandmaintainingcybersecurity controls.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.




Have excellent time management skills as you will need to be able to prioritise workloads and shiftfocusas necessary.Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlinesExemplary verbal and written communication skills.
Defence, manufacturing or technology sector experience.
Microsoft certifications (Azure, M365 or Security).
Cisco,Fortinetor equivalent networking certifications.
Experience supporting security-cleared environments.
As a Defence security clearance isrequiredfor this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain andmaintaina Baseline clearance.
