Programmed Maintenance Services – Revesby NSW

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a large-scale manufacturing operation based in Revesby.
n
This is a key site leadership position responsible for leading production across a 24/5, three-shift operation, driving improvements across safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee engagement.
n
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will lead a sizeable production team and play a key role in ensuring manufacturing targets are achieved while continuing to develop a strong, accountable and safety-focused workplace culture.
n
The Role
n
As Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Lead and oversee production across three shifts, ensuring consistent performance across all teams
n
Manage production plans, labour utilisation and equipment to maximise throughput and operational efficiency
n
Lead daily production meetings and ensure agreed actions are completed
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across waste, quality, productivity and machine performance
n
Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies including 5S, TPM, Kaizen, Centre-lining and visual management
n
Monitor production KPIs including OEE, downtime, waste, quality and labour performance
n
Ensure production consistently meets customer quality and delivery requirements
n
Maintain strong compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements
n
Manage corrective actions relating to safety, quality and operational non-conformance
n
Coach, mentor and develop supervisors and production leaders
n
Drive employee engagement, accountability, cross-training and succession planning
n
Manage performance and employee relations issues when required
n
Work closely with maintenance, engineering, planning, technical,
sales and other internal stakeholders
n
Support site maintenance and reliability strategies
n
Assume responsibility for site operations in the absence of the Site Manager
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:
n
n
5-7 years' experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role, ideally within production management
n
Strong experience managing large production teams within a quick-paced manufacturing environment
n
Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
n
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S and related improvement methodologies
n
Strong understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental requirements
n
Proven ability to manage production KPIs, labour utilisation, waste, quality and equipment performance
n
Strong leadership, coaching and people-management capability
n
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
n
Strong communication, influencing, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
n
Experience managing change within a manufacturing environment
n
Strong planning, project-management and time-management skills
n
n
A Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Engineering would be highly regarded.
n
