We are on the lookout for a dynamic Adult Occupational Therapist to work within our Mackay Team.
n
ATS is a registered NDIS provider and delivers psychological services across a range of funding streams, including Medicare, WorkCover QLD, Comcare, NIISQ, private health and as an Associated Provider for aged care. This means you'll gain broad clinical experience across diverse client groups and funding models, all within a single, well-supported practice.

About the role
n
As an Occupational Therapist in our Mackay clinic, you'll deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy services to adults, seniors and their families, carers and support networks. You'll work in-clinic, in the community and via telehealth, depending on client needs.
n
Your day-to-day will include:
n
Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments (for example functional capacity assessments, home and living assessments, home modifications and assistive technology)
n
Developing individualised therapy plans,
goals and evidence-based intervention strategies in collaboration with support networks
n
Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy intervention across clinic, home, school, community and telehealth settings
n
Writing clear, timely reports within company timeframes
n
Collaborating with carers, families, support workers, educators and other health professionals to achieve the best outcomes for each person
n
Contributing to the development of specialist resources, training and information programs for families and support agencies
n
Maintaining accurate client records and documentation in line with NDIS Practice Standards, AHPRA requirements and company procedures
n
At least 70% of your calendar time will be dedicated to client-facing, billable service delivery.

What you'll bring
n
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy from a recognised university
n
Current AHPRA general registration as an Occupational Therapist
n
Current Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening) or willingness to obtain
n
Current Blue Card (Working with Children) or willingness to obtain
n
Current and unrestricted driver's licence and own vehicle
n
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
n
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
n
A genuine passion for working with adults, and seniors
n
Commercially aware approach, understanding the importance of financial viability in a private practice setting
n
Experience working within the NDIS and/or Aged Care
n
Familiarity with common occupational therapy assessment tools
n
Experience delivering services via face-to face and telehealth and in regional or remote communities
n
