The Prospect
n
Operate, maintain and construct sewerage assets to ensure the efficient provision of wastewater services to the community.
n
Your Role
n
In this hands-on role, you will be required to:
n
n
Operate, maintain and monitor sewage treatment plants, sewage pump stations and sewer reticulation assets.
n
Keep accurate operational records of sewage treatment plants, sewage pump stations and sewer reticulation assets.
n
Participate in the construction and repair of sewer reticulation assets.
n
Carry out water quality tests and keep accurate records of results.
n
Participate in the sewer on-call roster.
n
Assist with any other tasks related to the Water and Wastewater Section
n

What you'll bring
n
n
A certificate in Wastewater Treatment Operations for Sewage Treatment Plants (Part 1) or the ability to obtain the above certificate within 24 months.
n
A Certificate III in a related area such as construction, plumbing,



mechanical or electrical trades or relevant industry experience.
n
Availability and capacity to undertake on-call duties.
n
A white card (general construction induction card).
n
A current Class "C" driver licence.
n
n
Your Working Environment (for eligible employees)
n
n
A 38-hour working week, over a 9-day fortnight
n
Access to 6.5 weeks long service leave after 5 years
n
4 weeks paid annual leave
n
Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $**** per annum applies.

Salary from $56,****** - $65,****** per year + 12 % super, depending on skills, experience and qualifications. Grade 3 - 6 in accordance with Council's Salary System and the Local Government State Award.
