EQoL Network Engineer
Contract position, 10 month period in the Defence sector.
The role is based in Canberra, ACT.
Base pay range
A$******/hr - A$******/hr
Responsibilities
Support the rollout of the EQoL system across 52 vessels in the Navy.
Refine cross‐class designs to meet platform specific constraints; STW the EQoL system including configuring and installing network devices.
Minimum mandatory requirements
AGSVA Security clearance.
Defence experience.
Ability to obtain construction white card.
In‐depth understanding and experience of switching mechanisms, routing protocols, transmission protocols, routing, and troubleshooting of networks.
Good understanding of virtualisation, SDN, Linux OS and desirable exposure to open‐source technologies.
Basic understanding of Layer‐3 packet encryption, load balancing, network aggregation and network security.




Ability to undertake and document network designs, lead project design reviews, engineering assessments and investigations of complex networks.
Degree in ICT Networking or Communications Engineering.
Cisco Certified Networking Skilled (CCNP) Enterprise.
Fortigate (Fortinet Certified Associate) or better.
Formal Cybersecurity training.
