This is a 12-month Fixed Term, Full Time appointment at 1.0FTE, 80 hours per fortnight, with the potential for extension and/or permanency.
Consultant Year 1-6: $592,****** - $704,****** per annum, inclusive of base salary, on call allowance p.a, professional development allowance and 12% superannuation.
The above salary is as per WA Health System Medical Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement ****, from the 3 September ****.
This is subject to the assessment of qualifications, clinical skills, and years of practice.
About the Role
The Director or Clinical Services – Mental Health provides senior clinical leadership across mental health and Alcohol and Other Drug services throughout the Kimberley.
Working in partnership with the Regional Manager of Mental Health and AOD, the Clinical Director has primary responsibility for clinical governance and leadership in relation to clinical service delivery across the Broome Hospital Acute Psychiatric Unit (APU) and the Regional Community Based Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Services.




This is an opportunity for an experienced psychiatrist to influence the development of regional mental health services, strengthen clinical practice and support the delivery of safe, high-quality care across a geographically dispersed service workplace.
The role combines clinical practice with strategic leadership, service development, workforce capability and medical education.
This role will suit a senior psychiatrist who is looking to extend their clinical leadership into regional service development and workforce capability.
With responsibility across both acute and community settings, the position provides considerable scope to influence clinical governance, service models, education and workforce development across the Kimberley.
