Investment Operations Analyst - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Our client is a highly regarded global investment manager.They're looking to appoint an Investment Operations Analyst to join their Sydney team on a 12fixed-term contract, with an anticipated start in mid-late September.
n
This is a hands-on BAU role supporting investment teams across the end-to-end portfolio and trade lifecycle. You'll oversee outsourced middle-and back-office activities, investigate portfolio manager queries and work closely with the trading desk to resolve operational issues.
n
Aladdin experience is highly regarded in this position. Using Aladdin, youwillsupport portfolio administration, investigate investment-team queries and ensure trading and operational activity is processed accurately across the end-to-end portfolio lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide middle-office and trade-support coverage across equities, fixed income and FX
n
Oversee outsourced activities, including trade matching, reconciliations, settlement issues and failed trades
n
Investigate and respond to portfolio manager queries, understanding how issues affect the end-to-end portfolio lifecycle
n
Process client cash activity and support the trading desk with execution-related issues
n
Support corporate actions,



month-end reporting and the reconciliation of data between internal and external systems
n
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, controls and risk management
n

Skills and Experience
n
n
Previous experience in investment operations, middle office, trade support or portfolio administration within investment management
n
Practical experience using the Aladdin Investment Management Platform
n
Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle across equities, fixed income and foreign exchange
n
Experience with reconciliations, trade oversight, cash processing, settlement issues and corporate actions
n
Ability to investigate portfolio manager queries and understand issues from an end-to-end operational perspective
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to contribute effectively within a small, close-knit team
n
