Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Linux & OpenShift Engineer to join a major Australian technology environment and help shape the next generation of highly automated, secure and scalable infrastructure.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Linux,
Kubernetes/OpenShift,
cloud and automation, with a strong focus on treating infrastructure as a product.

Working across a highly distributed Edge environment, you will be owning the lifecycle, scalability and reliability of Linuxplaforms, responsible for:
n
n
Designing and supporting RHEL, OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
n
Building infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible and GitOps/ArgoCD.
n
Developing and managing CI/CD pipelines, OS image builds and automated patching.
n
Modernising legacy infrastructure and moving towards container-native Edge platforms.
n
Embedding security, compliance and vulnerability remediation into automated processes.
n




Using monitoring and telemetry to improve reliability and reduce operational toil.
n
Working closely with Engineering, Security and Operations teams to deliver a reliable developer platform.
n

To be succesful in this role, we're looking for someone with:
n
n
Strong hands-on Linux / Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift experience.
n
Experience with Terraform, Ansible and GitOps.
n
Robust scripting skills in Bash, Python or Go.
n
Experience across Edge, hybrid cloud or distributed environments.
n
An understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps and automation.
n
n
In addition to this, excellent stakeholder management skills are essential, and Red Hat or Kubernetes certifications are highly regarded.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Linux Engineer who wants to move beyond traditional infrastructure and work on modern Edge, container and automation platforms at significant scale.
