About the Role
n
We are looking for an experienced Horticulturalist to join our team and help maintain high-quality gardens and green spaces. This hands-on role will see you applying your horticultural knowledge across a range of garden maintenance activities while ensuring sites are maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities
n
n
Undertake horticultural and garden maintenance including pruning, hedging, weeding, planting, mulching and general garden care.
n
Identify plant health issues, weeds, pests and diseases and undertake appropriate treatment and maintenance.
n
Apply horticultural knowledge to support the health, presentation and ongoing development of gardens and landscaped areas.
n
Operate hand and powered equipment including hedgers, blowers, whipper snippers, push mowers and ride-on equipment safely and effectively.
n
Assist with planting, soil preparation, fertilising and ongoing plant establishment.
n
Carry out maintenance activities in accordance with horticultural best practice and site requirements.
n
Maintain tools and equipment and ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and organised.
n
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working setting for yourself and your team.

About You
n
n
Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens or a related qualification is highly desirable.
n
Previous experience in horticulture, gardening, landscape maintenance or a related field.
n
Strong plant identification and general horticultural knowledge.
n
Experience with pruning, planting, weed management and general garden maintenance.
n
Confident using a range of horticultural tools, machinery and equipment.
n
Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work, including lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling and standing for extended periods.
n
Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
n
Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
n
