Bar Mill Operator - Steel Manufacturing

$50 per hour - Day Shift (6am to 6pm)

$65 per hour - Night Shift (6pm to 6am)

16.5% Superannuation

The Opportunity
n
Join a leading steel manufacturer as a Bar Mill Operator in a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment.
n
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in heavy industry or manufacturing who has strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to working safely.
n
The role operates on a rotating 12-hour roster, with 2 consecutive day shifts followed by 2 consecutive night shifts, before having 4 consecutive days off.
n
The full roster is provided 6 months in advance, giving you excellent visibility to plan your personal commitments.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Operate and monitor Bar Mill equipment
n
Roll and guide operations
n
Roughing and finishing operations
n
Monitor hot rolling, cutting and handling processes
n
Operate cold shear, raker, bundler and stacker equipment
n
Conduct product quality checks
n
Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping
n
Follow site procedures, including lockout/tagout
n




Complete effective shift handovers
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Valid LF Forklift Licence - must have
n
Must successfully pass a mechanical aptitude test
n
Must successfully pass a full drug and alcohol test
n
Must successfully pass a physical assessment
n
Experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments
n
Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices
n
Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
n
Trade qualification highly regarded
n
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 environment
n
Must be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident
n
n
Roster - Rotating 12-Hour Shifts

2 consecutive Day Shifts: 6am-6pm
n
2 consecutive Night Shifts: 6pm-6am
n
4 consecutive Days Off
n
Then the cycle repeats
n
Full roster provided 6 months in advance
