Morton Carpentry Co. Carpentry Apprenticeship – 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year

Location: Bacchus Marsh & Western Suburbs of Melbourne

Pay: $14–$35 above award wages for the right applicant.

The Role
n
n
Using carpentry hand and power tools
n
Reading and interpreting building plans
n
Taking accurate measurements and making calculations
n
Lock-up and fix carpentry
n
Occasional framing work
n
Working as part of a team to meet site deadlines
n
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite
n
Learning and developing your carpentry skills
n

About You
n
n
Is punctual, reliable and hard-working
n
Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
n
Takes direction and listens
n
Has some experience using hand and power tools
n
Takes pride in their workmanship
n
Has good attention to detail
n
Can communicate clearly and effectively
n
Can work to deadlines and complete tasks to a high standard
n
Has good problem-solving skills
n




Is genuinely interested in becoming a good carpenter
n

Requirements
n

White Card preferred, but can be obtained after commencing
n
Basic carpentry hand tools required, including a nail bag, tape measure, square, chisel, etc.
n
Driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
n
Must be able to get to site each morning, or meet in Bacchus Marsh
n
Based in Bacchus Marsh without transport? That's not necessarily a deal breaker. If you're local and the right fit for the team, I'm happy to discuss picking up and dropping off each day.
