Moyne Health Services invites applications from qualified Chefs to join our Food Services team on an ongoing Part Time or Casual basis.

About the Role
n
As a Chef @ MHS you will:
n
n
Plan, prepare and serve a menu of nutritious meals which are appropriate to a variety of age groups and health status.
n
Assist to plan, develop and provide a menu on a weekly basis in accordance with current Food Safety regulations and Moyne Health Services' Food Safety Plan.
n
Supervise and support staff in the provision of meals to residents, patients, staff, community members and volunteers.
n
Ensure the cleaning of equipment, kitchen and storage areas is undertaken according to cleaning schedule.
n
Maintain the kitchen environment and equipment in a secure and hygienic manner in accordance with Food Safety regulations, reporting any issues to the Head Chef.
n
Assist in keeping accurate records including purchase orders, supplier invoices, Meals on Wheels documentation and routine updates.

About You
n
Minimum qualifications
n
n
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
n
Food Handler (Basic) HLTFS7B
n
Folllowing Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
n
n
Key Selection Criteria
n
n
Experience in food preparation and presentation of meals
n
Experience in staff supervision in a food
preparation/service
situation
n
Excellent communication skills
n
Enthusastic and self motivated
n
Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks
n
Ability to manage workloads in an allotted timeframe
n
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative
n
n
The successful applicant will be required to provide an NDIS Workers Screening Check and evidence of immunisations in accordance with Department of Health guidelines before employment commencement.
