About therole:

Joinheadspace Emerald as a Youth Peer Worker - First
Nations(Identified)and
help create a culturally safe, welcomingspace for First Nations youth to access mental health and wellbeingsupport.
n
In thisunique role, you'll use your lived experience to build trust,foster cultural pride, and encourage young people to engage withheadspace services. You'll work in a non-clinical
capacity,supporting
group programs, community events, and transitions in andout of care.
n
Whatwill a typical day look like?
n
n
Support FirstNations young people through culturally appropriate peerengagement.
n
Co-design andco-facilitate programs and group activities within thecentre.
n
Promote headspaceservices and First Nations programs at communityevents.
n
Collaborate withthe Community Engagement Worker and broader team.
n
Uphold highstandards of privacy, cultural safety, and
professionalpractice.
n

MandatoryRequirements:
n
n
Certificate IV inYouth Worker/Community Services or equivalentor working toward this qualification (proof of
enrolmentrequired).
n
Relevant youth peerexperience
n
n
