Take full ownership of branch operations, translating broader business strategy into clear local priorities, actions, and measurable outcomes.

Lead the integration of teams and operations, creating alignment, accountability, and consistent ways of working across the branch.

Own the branch P&L;, managing costs, productivity, budgets, and profitability while maintaining strong customer outcomes.
n
Drive operational performance, including service levels, DIFOT performance, productivity, and achievement of financial targets.
n
Champion a proactive, safety-first culture and ensure appropriate standards, behaviours, and practices are embedded across the operation.

Build,



lead, and develop a high-performing team, strengthening leadership capability, engagement, accountability, and retention.

Develop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and capability-building initiatives.
n
Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, customer experience, and overall branch performance.

Lead the branch through ongoing transformation, ensuring operational improvements are sustainable and aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience within the transport, logistics, freight, or a closely related operational environment.
n
Demonstrated experience managing complex operations and leading teams through significant organisational or operational change.
n
Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, costs, profitability, and ideally full P&L; responsibility.
n
A track record of improving operational performance, productivity, service delivery, and customer outcomes.
n
Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams and develop leaders at different levels.
n
Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to establish a proactive safety culture.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to align diverse teams and influence business decisions.
