Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Blaster/Painter to join our team in Newcastle and Wyong, New South Wales.

We have site based and workshop based work with Fulltime and Casual positions available.
n
This position is crucial for ensuring the quality and durability of our construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing surfaces and applying protective coatings, contributing to the overall success of our building and construction operations.

Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare surfaces for blasting and painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
n
Operate blasting equipment to remove old paint, rust, and other contaminants from surfaces.
n
Apply paint, and other protective coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
n
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
n




Inspect finished work for quality and adherence to specifications.
n
Maintain and service blasting and painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
n
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and to a high standard.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Proven experience as a Blaster/Painter in an industrial environment
n
Experience with Airless Application
n
Forklift and EWP licence desirable
n
Knowledge of various blasting and painting techniques and materials.
n
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Positive physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
n
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
