We are partnering with a well-established Australian apparel brand as a Garment Technician to join their high-performing design and product team based in Mascot.
n
This is a technically focused role suited to someone who takes pride in precision, fit and quality. You will play a critical role in ensuring garments meet rigorous Australian and international standards, while delivering consistency across fit, grading and construction.
n
This is a hands‐on technical position where your expertise in garment construction, grading and quality assurance will directly impact the final product.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Develop and maintain detailed garment tech packs and specification documents
n
Create and manage measurement reference pages and grading specifications
n
Review, comment on and approve development samples, pre‐production samples and shipment samples
n
Liaise with factories and offshore QC teams to resolve fit, measurement and construction issuesAnticipate and troubleshoot potential quality, workmanship and fabrication concerns
n
Ensure consistency of grading and fit across product ranges
n
Maintain strict quality assurance standards and reduce production issues
n
Support Design and Production teams with technical guidance and product development input
n
Respond promptly to factory and production queries to maintain timelines
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
3–5+ years' experience in a Garment Technician or Patternmaker capacity within the apparel industry
n
Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabric performance and grading rules
n
Experience creating comprehensive tech packs and managing QA approvals
n
Intermediate skills in Adobe Illustrator and Excel
n
Solid understanding of the manufacturing process, including offshore production
n
Experience across menswear or womenswear
n
A highly organised, detail‐oriented and deadline‐driven approach
n
