We are seeking a committed and reliable full time Trades Assistant to work alongside our experienced Workshop Tradespersons. This role will allow opportunities to develop and hone your skills in a hands-on workshop environment with the intention to enter into a full time Fitting / Turning Apprenticeship upon successful completion of your 6 month probation period.
n
You will play a vital role, contributing directly to the quality of work delivered to our clients and the overall success of the business.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Assist qualified tradespeople with workshop tasks and maintenance work, including:
n
Overhauls of large equipment for the underground mining industry
n
Servicing and maintaining air operated equipment
n
Assisting with fabrication work as required
n
Supporting the workshop team with repairs and maintenance to a range of equipment
n
Maintaining a clean, protected and organised workshop environment
n
Recording of servicing information, photographs and other documentation relevant to the job
n
A willingness to learn and develop practical skills in a trades environment
n
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards of safety and quality
n
Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to work as part of a team
n
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
n
Current HRW Forklift Licence is desirable, but not essential
n
