Business Development Manager - Decarbonisation

Location: Sydney Salary package: $150,000 + Uncapped Commissions
n
This newly created role is an opportunity for a proven new-business hunter to build a national pipeline across complex decarbonisation and net-zero solutions. You'll sell consultative, engineered solutions rather than off-the-shelf products, working alongside technical specialists to solve energy and asset challenges for large organisations. With uncapped commission and strong earning potential, this will suit a commercially driven BDM who understands the technical landscape.

Required skills and experience
n
n
5+ years' B2B business development experience with a solid track record of winning new clients and revenue.
n
Proven hunter mentality, with experience generating opportunities rather than relying on an established account base.
n
Demonstrated experience selling complex decarbonisation, energy, renewable energy or engineered solutions.
n
Experience in solution-based/consultative sales, rather than solely product, licensing or certification sales.
n
Working knowledge of energy, electrical, mechanical and asset engineering concepts.
n
Ability to work with engineers to scope and develop tailored technical solutions for clients.
n
Experience engaging senior decision-makers around net-zero,



energy efficiency, electrification or asset-performance initiatives.
n
Electrical or mechanical engineering
qualifications/background
will be highly regarded.

What you'll be doing
n

Build a national pipeline of new decarbonisation opportunities.
n
Engage organisations looking to reduce emissions and progress towards net zero.
n
Identify asset and energy challenges and develop commercially viable solutions with engineering teams.
n
Sell solutions across areas such as electrification, renewable energy, submetering, energy efficiency and transitioning assets away from gas.
n
Own the sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation and close.
n
Build long-term client relationships and identify further opportunities across their asset portfolios.
n
Work alongside established sales and technical teams while owning the growth of the decarbonisation offering.
n
