We are looking for a qualified, experienced and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.
n
The Role
n
Working closely with our dentists and other members of the clinical team, you will assist with the delivery of high-quality dental care and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our surgeries.
n
This is a hands-on clinical role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a busy, supportive dental team.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Chairside assisting dentists during examinations and dental procedures
n
Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, materials and equipment for procedures
n
Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control requirements
n
Maintaining appropriate infection prevention and control procedures
n




Assisting with dental radiography and clinical procedures where appropriately trained and permitted
n
Supporting patients before, during and following dental treatment
n
Maintaining accurate clinical and patient records
n
Maintaining stock levels and preparing clinical supplies
n
Cleaning and maintaining dental surgeries and clinical areas
n
Assisting the dental team with the efficient flow of patients throughout the practice
n
Working collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, oral health professionals and administrative staff
n

Requirements
n
The successful applicant will:
n
n
Have previous experience working as a Dental Assistant
n
Have sound knowledge of dental infection control and sterilisation procedures
n
Have experience providing chairside assistance during dental procedures
n
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
Be reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
n
Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
n
Hold a relevant Dental Assisting qualification, including a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Dental Assisting, or an equivalent relevant qualification
n
n
