Specialist Communications Technician
n
Location: Prominent Hill, SA
n Roster: 8:6 | Day Shift Only
n FIFO: Adelaide
n Contract: 6-12 months
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Perform planned and breakdown maintenance across Operational Technology systems.
n
Support wireless communication infrastructure across site and remote locations.
n
Configure, install and troubleshoot digital radio systems.
n
Configure, install and maintain CCTV systems.
n
Provide technical support across the Technology team.
n
Complete scheduled work orders and associated work instructions.
n
Participate in risk assessments, site processes and management of change activities.
n
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Accurately report events, work requirements and hazards.
n
Maintain high standards of safety and operational excellence.
n
n
About You
n
n
Trade qualification in Auto Electrical, Radio Communications, Electronics or Industrial Electrical.
n
Experience with:n
n
Digital radio systems
n
Fibre networks
n
CCTV systems
n
Wi-Fi management
n
IP networks
n
n




Familiarity with mining Operations Technology and communications networks.
n
Experience working in industrial or mining environments highly desirable.
n
Open/unrestricted Cabling Licence is preferable.
n
Security Licence is advantageous.
n
Australian C Class Driver's Licence.
n
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
n
Team-oriented approach with the ability to take ownership and see solutions through to completion.
n
