The Opportunity
n
The Newcastle office is led by a well-connected and highly regarded Principal Civil Engineer who has already secured major residential and mixed‐use developments across the region.
n
They are now seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer (Civil 3D or 12d) to step into a true 2IC position—someone confident delivering projects end‐to‐end, providing technical input at a high level, and helping shape the future of the Newcastle team.
n
Working closely with the Civil Leader, you will play a key role in:
n

Delivering large-scale subdivision and urban development projects
n
Providing technical leadership and design oversight
n
Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and designers
n
Contributing to team growth, capability development, and local strategy
n
n
This is more than a design role, it's a chance to influence how a new office evolves, with genuine long‐term progression as the team expands.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
End-to-end delivery of civil design for subdivisions and urban development projects
n
Bulk earthworks design, lot grading, and road geometry
n
Stormwater design including OSD, drainage networks, and overland flow paths




n
Sewer and water servicing coordination
n
Production of detailed, high-quality construction documentation
n
Liaison with clients, councils, and service authorities
n
Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
n

Proficient in Civil 3D or 12d
n
Strong background in urban development, subdivisions, and road design

Confident delivering projects from concept through to construction
n
Comfortable mentoring junior team members
