Jarl Modern Construction is a growing modular construction company delivering complex residential, commercial and multi-storey projects across Australia.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager to take ownership of project delivery from commencement through to completion.
n
This is not a role for someone who simply manages the day-to-day running of a site. We are looking for a senior construction professional who can take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, including programme, cost, quality, subcontractors, consultants, client relationships, WHS and contractual obligations.
n
You will be the person who knows what is happening across the project, identifies issues early and takes action to keep the project moving.

What you'll be responsible for
n
n
Taking overall responsibility for project delivery from mobilisation through to practical completion and handover
n
Managing project programmes, milestones, resources and critical paths
n
Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
n
Managing construction sequencing, productivity and site operations
n
Monitoring project costs, budgets, variations, procurement and financial performance
n
Managing subcontractor performance and resolving issues quickly and effectively
n
Working closely with the client, consultants, authorities and other key stakeholders
n
Managing design coordination and ensuring construction information is available when required
n




Identifying project risks and implementing practical solutions before they impact programme, cost or quality
n
Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contracts and quality requirements
n

About You
n
We are looking for someone who is confident taking ownership of a project and making decisions.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Significant experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Construction Manager or similar senior construction role
n
Experience managing substantial project values and multidisciplinary teams
n
Strong commercial and contractual understanding
n
Proven experience managing subcontractors and consultants
n
Strong programme and cost management skills
n
Excellent understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
n
Strong knowledge of Australian construction practices, WHS and quality requirements
n
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
n
Robust problem-solving and decision-making ability
n
The confidence to have difficult conversations when required
n
Excellent organisational and documentation skills
n
A practical, solutions-focused approach
n




The ability to work autonomously while keeping senior management properly informed
n
Experience with modular, prefabricated, multi-storey or off-site construction will be highly regarded.
n
Relevant construction qualifications and QBCC licensing requirements will also be considered favourably.
n
