Front-End Loader Operator – Sand Washing Plant
n Position Overview
n
We are seeking an experienced Front-End Loader Operator to operate a loader feeding our sand washing plant and assist with stockpile management and general site operations.
n
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a safe, consistent and efficient feed of raw material to the sand washing plant while maintaining organised stockpiles and a clean and safe work area.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Safely operate a front-end loader to feed raw material into the sand washing plant.
n
Maintain a consistent and controlled feed rate to maximise plant production.
n
Monitor the quality and condition of feed material and report any changes to the plant operator or supervisor.
n
Manage and maintain raw material and finished product stockpiles.
n
Prevent contamination between different sand and aggregate products.
n
Keep the plant feed area, stockpile areas and access ways clean and secure.
n
Complete daily pre-start inspections and report equipment faults or maintenance issues.
n
Work closely with the plant operator to coordinate feed rates and production requirements.
n
Assist with general site duties and housekeeping as required.
n
Follow all site safety, environmental and operational procedures.
n




Maintain safe separation from other mobile equipment, fixed plant and personnel.
n
Report hazards, incidents, equipment damage and environmental issues immediately.
n
Operate the loader efficiently to minimise unnecessary fuel use, travel and material rehandling.
n

Skills and Experience
n
n
Proven experience operating a front-end loader in a quarry, sand, aggregate or similar environment.
n
Experience feeding processing or washing plants is highly desirable.
n
Strong understanding of mobile plant safety.
n
Ability to maintain a consistent plant feed and manage stockpiles.
n
Good communication and teamwork skills.
n
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
Current relevant tickets/licences and competency to operate a front-end loader.
n
