About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to join our dedicated, self-motivated team. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this role is focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding Acryloc's market share, and building sales & long-term strategic partnerships across trades, builders, architects, specifiers and developers. You will play a key role in driving the company's growth strategy and strengthening Acryloc's position as a leading Australian-made paint and coatings manufacturer.
Key responsibilities
Identify, target and secure new business opportunities across trades, builders, architects, specifiers, developers and resellers throughout Australia
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow market share in existing and new territories
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective accounts through proactive prospecting and networking
Negotiate and convert new accounts into long-term, sustainable partnerships
Work collaboratively with the sales team and internal staff to ensure smooth onboarding and fulfilment of current customer needs




Collaborate with the Sales Manager and General Manager to set and achieve growth targets and KPIs
About you
Previous experience in Building Supplies / Paint / Construction sector essential
Proven track record in business development or new business B2B sales, ideally within paint, coatings, render or texture products
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to convert prospects into long-term accounts
Ability to liaise effectively with retail, trade and reseller networks
Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
